I have recently spoken with a local satellite TV installer with regards to providing a service to the community.

He told me that a 1.9 metre dish would need to be installed on each of the 5 solariums or

possibly a 2.4 metre dish for a stronger signal. The dish would be mounted on a concrete base. Other blocks similar to ours have apparently gone ahead and installed similar dishes according to said installer - the issue is whether or not such a weight can safely be positioned on these solariums. It might affect potential insurance claims in the future and this is what worries me about it.

In terms of cost, there would be a one-off installation fee that would depend on how many residents in each block want to plug into such a system plus each person would need to buy a box to go inside the apartment, but the benefit of course is that there are then no further fees - no subscriptions as per Torresat for example. The possibility would be there for more owners to plug in in the future.
